Texas Principles of Construction A/B

Texas Principles of Construction is a two-semester course that covers the fundamental concepts related to construction. In this course, students will learn the basics of measuring practices, construction mathematics, architectural drawings, and the equipment and tools. They will learn how to apply material-handling techniques and computers in the construction trade. This course also covers the careers and opportunities that are available in the construction industry and safety standards to promote safe and healthy working conditions. Students will also familiarize themselves with the employability skills and personal traits that are essential to workplace success.
