Virginia Information Technology (IT) Fundamentals A/B

Virginia Information Technology (IT) Fundamentals is a two-semester course designed to enable students at the high school level to develop the critical skills and knowledge necessary in the information technology industry. Students will be exposed to the fundamentals of computer systems, and will learn how to use the internet, word processors, presentation software, spreadsheets, and databases. Additionally, students will learn about computer programming, computer networks, and web design and development. Finally, students will explore different career pathways in the field of information technology and identify the key skills and certifications needed for these careers.
