Exact Path Diagnostic and South Carolina’s College-and-Career-Ready (SC READY) Assessment Correlational Study

This research study correlated scores on Exact Path diagnostic assessments across testing windows (Fall, Winter, and Spring) with scores on the spring 2019 SC READY. Strong correlations were found between Exact Path diagnostic assessment scores and SC READY scores across all content areas, grades (3-8), and seasons. These findings suggest that the assessments tend to measure the same skills and knowledge, and that Exact Path is a strong predictor of performance on SC READY tests across the school year.

In preparation for SC READY assessments, educators can use Exact Path diagnostic results to:

• Identify students who need additional support
• Prioritize content areas to focus on
• Inform data-driven instruction and targeted intervention
• Help ensure that students are on track to meet academic standards
