Edmentum Annual Impact Report
As we reflect on the past year, we know challenges persist. Learning gaps that existed even prior to the pandemic continue to affect many students, and chronic absenteeism remains a force multiplier for learning loss. However, we’ve also made exciting discoveries about what works, and have seen meaningful progress.
Serving more than 400,000+ educators and more than five million students worldwide, we’ve seen firsthand how schools can accelerate learning when talented teachers are equipped with a research-based curriculum that powers student achievement. This year, we moved education forward by continually innovating, contributing to the research base of “what works,” and delivering solutions that accelerate learning for this generation of learners.
We're doubling down in three big areas:
- Reimagining secondary education: We’ve led with the integration of durable skills and evolution of our career and technical education (CTE) offerings to ensure all students have expanded options for work and life. Our new catalog of CTE courses make instruction more relevant; develop students’ technical and life skills; and increase on-time, four-year graduation rates. We’ll continue to bring new capabilities to market for workforce awareness and readiness, including expanding paths to and through certification.
- Developing intervention systems with proven results: Critical to success, our model includes both on-grade-level practice and personalized interventions to close gaps and accelerate learning. These evidence-based programs can be seamlessly augmented with high-impact tutoring to meet the needs of all students. We are committed to being the leader in making data actionable, getting clear insights into the hands of educators faster, and ensuring less time testing and more time learning.
- Supporting creative staffing models: We’re continuing to invest in our high-quality human-centered virtual instruction. We support schools to expand equitable access to course offerings (including advanced coursework and high-demand CTE programs), meet the preferences of families and students, and address staffing challenges, all while maintaining educational excellence.
The accomplishments you’ll learn about in this report are a testament to the educators we support, the hard work of students in the communities we serve, and the dedication of our team.
